Electric cord retractor 2

Not to hijack the other thread, but there is some discussion there about a remote with the glendinning cord reel. Mine did not come with a remote, and after 15 years of putting up with it, I'm wanting to install one. Having the manual switch in the plumbing bay is just stupid when the reel is in the next bay. Has anyone done this? Recommendation on the remote? How many amps should it carry? Any particular brand or part number you can share?

I've got the Cablemaster system in my 2000 Magna. The fuse for that circuit is fused at 25 amp. My switch was installed in the same bay with the Cablemaster Don't know which model number I have.

Mine didn't come with the remote controller either. I bought mine from Glendinning and installed it my self. I did a quick search on their website but didn't see the remote. I would call them and see what they say.

I wired it into the light circuit in the plumbing bay as it doesn't take a lot of power. It is wired into the switch so that I can still use that if need be.

I agree that having the switch in the plumbing bay is stupid.

I will be at the coach tomorrow and will look on the unit and see if there is a name that can be googled.

On edit, I found it. I sure didn't pay this much for it but then again I got it a number of years ago. I think it can be had cheaper. http://www.fisheriessupply.com/glend...remote-control
