Fuel Filter Question
I am new to CC and diesel engines so please bear with me. I want to change the fuel filters on my 2000 CC cummins isc 8.3 350. I found the part number for the filter with the water separator but my engine has 2 filter and I can't find any information on the second filter without the water separator connection. Anyone have that number available? I would appreciate any help...Thanks...Jim
PS. part numbers for both filters would help me by assuring that I have the correct numbers on the first filter. Thanks again...Jim

If you’ve found the filters, on your coach, just copy the number and take it to your filter store. They can cross other manufacturers number to theirs.

Please specify what model of your 2000 CC is. Skipping the specifics, people could only give you "guessed" advice.

On my 1999, 8.3 ISC and I believe yours is identical I have been using NAPA gold which is a Wix filter since 2002 when we bought the coach with no problems.
Fuel 3242 & 3422
Engine oil filter 1748
Engine coolant Fleetguard only...WF2121 (DCA filter)
Hope this helps,

You guys are the best. I do appreciate being able to go somewhere and ask a question and get an answer from someone who knows.
Don i didn't get the reference guide with the MH. I didn't get quite a few things with it, is there a place i can go to order that stuff? Again thanks to all of you for your help....Jim

Has Cummins changed their specs on the secondary filter used on the CAPS pump? I’ve been using the FS 1022 which is a 10 micron filter. There has also been a lot of discussion of people who use a 2 micron secondary filter with the CAPS pump. People have reported that Cummins techs have advised them that the 2 micron filter is to restrictive for use with a CAPS pump.
So, it seems there are a lot of opinions regarding the secondary filter. Has Cummins specified a micron rating for use on the CAPS pump. Is it in writing or just here say. What filters are people using for their ISC or ISL CAPS pump, both primary and secondary?
Bill
