Have you upgraded your microwave?
I am considering upgrading our microwave. According to its serial number decal it is now 17years old and I simply don't think it is working as well as it should be.
If you have upgraded the microwave in your coach what make and model did you go with? Are you pleased with the way it's working? Would you today replace it with the same microwave you chose?
I had posted this question on CC Facebook page and have received feedback from a couple of members. Hoping to hear from a few more.

Have you upgraded your microwave?
I replaced the old sharp microwave with a kitchenaid KMHC319ESS-4 back in 2018. It works great. Only slight issue is the door rubs on cabinet on left side when opening and closing due to the hinge and door design but we’re used to it.
It also draws a lot of power around 1800 watts so if your a boondocker you may want one with lower power.

Ours died the first time my wife used it for convection cooking but at 20 years old not unexpected. Replaced with a Sharp R-1881 LSY and also looked at the Sharp 1874T don't recall why we selected one over the other possibly availability at the time.
The change out took less than an hour and I used the old mounting bracket - not need to remove it, the new one is identical. It is heavy at around 70 lbs.

We replaced our Sharp convection/microwave with the same unit. The replacement model is R1875T and, like Ozzsp250, I used the old bracket since it was identical to the new one. CC did a good install job so no reason to disturb or replace the bracket.
I had some issues with the new replacement unit, specifically the touch membrane control panel. Turned out reseating the ribbon cable fixed it and has been working well for several years now.

Hi Replaced mine with a whirlpool wmh78019hv As I recall it was pretty much a drop in. and has more razzle dazzle than we really need, but the wife likes it. We did this 2018.

Just can't believe it. Ours just went belly up. The microwave part died but the convection still works. Time to replace the whole thing. The tag in ours says it was manufactured in April '01. We picked up the coach at the factory in August '01. Not bad service life.

Haha now that is kind of funny Don! We are still running the original Sharp also! Talking about replacing it because the touch panel switches for light and fan are getting flakey. This post may hasten the demise of our unit as well!

Fred & Jim, get ready! I sacrificed a white chicken so start looking for a replacement. Been looking all day trying to decide if I want to go with somewhat original or branch out. So far the options are the Sharp R1874T, R1874TY, and the R1881LSY. No way do I want to put up a new mounting bracket so I'm limited

You’ll have to sneak up on the old microwave so it won’t electrocute you.

Having not replaced my Sharp yet, what is so tricky about putting up a new mounting bracket? Probably will be fairly obvious once I pull it but I haven't.
