Insulation Below Floor Panel in Bedroom Floor

I needed access to the top of the engine so i removed the access panel in the floor of the bedroom only to find very nice silver insulation. I did not want to cut it to remove it because I saw no way of reinstalling it. Perhaps others have come to this same problem and cleverly overcome it. I hope
Thanks

On my old rig, insulation is fastened to the access panel located over the engine and under the North South bed.

Remove the panel and the Insulation comes out with it.

On my 2007 Allure 430 the insulation is attached to the access panel.

Maybe my coach was just not finished/completed correctly. I thought about taking an Razor knife to it but I couldn't see what was below it that I might cut and damage. Perhaps I could get the DW to watch from below and yell at me (that should work) if approach danger.

Poke around on the insulation. The panel is held down with bolts around the parameter. Find where the indention is greatest and use a knife to poke thru the insulation and listed for a metal to metal sound. There is the bolt

Sorry that basic step was not completed at the factory! You're the first owner I recall reporting this!

Yep, carefully cutting, and saving the cutout piece is the way to go. Then look at some 3M like spray on glue product to attache the insulation to the bottom of the panel. Might even want to get some of the 1" or 2" fasteners, and attache the corners as added insurance that the insulation does not pull away from the panel and end up on top of the engine!

Best of luck to you,
Smitty
