Itís sorta sad

Sad to see your old Intrigue who you owned, loved and traveled the US with for 17 years being resold 2 years later. Hope it finds a new forever home.

I can imagine...

But think of it this way: she's a better ambassador for the Country Coach line!

Yes it is sad. That still looks like a beautiful coach and I'm sure it will provide the new owners many more miles and years of service if cared for properly.

When we sold our 1991 Beaver Contessa in 2007 it was in pristine condition and looked as good as the day it rolled off the factory floor. Sold it to a family that we though was going to take as good of care of her as we did. Boy were we wrong.

We saw it a year later and it was pretty much destroyed. Evidently the first trip out they backed it into the trailer they were hooking up to and busted the rear end cap to pieces and it was pretty much all down hill from there.

I tend to buy selectively quality cars, boats and RVs which are somewhat timeless. I had the Intrigue for 17 yrs, my Wrangler for 16 yrs, my Century boat for 20 yrs and I still have my 1973 XKE going on 45 yrs (with plans to keep it till I die, I really enjoy this car).

I kinda figured that's what your forum name meant.
You wouldn't have a picture of the E-Type floating around, would you?
