Until you remove the domes you do not know if you need a replacement in my mind.

My exterior dome has a hinged hole, now secured by EB tape. So, I will replace it.

I do not know if I need a new inner dome until I get it removed to look at it.

These are apparently Lexan Domes designed "to stop bullets" so perhaps it is just the sealant of my inner dome being the problem as I currently suspect.

Note: I created the stop bullets thingy.

Jack, you want to do it right before the water destroys your work.

After you drill the new holes for your new skylight, a thick bead of Surebond SB-140 Skylight sealant all around the perimeter, right over the holes you just drilled, and any other holes. Once you screw the new dome down, your choice, more SB-140 over the screws and around the seam, or a strip of eternabond.
I did both.

I did the same thing, but not too thick of a bead. It will expand when you tighten the dome and I did not want it to ooze out into the shower. I only put down about a 1/8" bead all around. Also don't forget to do the same between the two domes just to the out side of the screw hole line. I will spread out and give a nice seal. Last thing before the eternabond, I ran a bead around the perimeter and smoothed it with my finger. I did not apply any to the screw heads, I figured the eternabond would cover that job.

I have ordered the skylights from EZ Tops. We are going to TN for April and I am having it delivered there in about 10 days. I have done some temporary sealing on the skylight to keep more rain out till I get the domes.

If I can help you with anything else, please let me know. Would be happy to send you my phone number if you think you might need it. It's a pretty easy install once you get up there and you will be happy I think once it's done. I know you'll be happy to be rid of the leaks.

I have this task ahead of me as my 2000 Intrigue has hair cracks in the outter bubble. Best I can tell the measurements are roughly 28x33, I will get precise measurements once I remove them.
Thanks to all for sharing the information on source and replacement tips.

Thanks, will let you know what I find once I am able to get accurate measurement. Yours and mine should be the same. Have you ordered the parts?

Not yet. Our skylight is still intact .

The problem with the bare plastic (acrylic or polycarbonate) I see is that the dome suffers a big pressure from front when coach is running at 60+ mph especially with head wind and under constant flexing/twisting. That is why so often the skylight cracks/leaks and we don't see such a thing happening on fan-tastic vents... I would really like to find a way to reinforce it when the time arrives...

EZ Tops has taken care of some of that issue. The domes are now made from a much better material than the originals and should last much longer.

The nice lady at EZ top told me what they are made of but I can hardly remember what I had for breakfast anymore and cannot remember what she told me.

I haven't gotten up on the ladder yet to get pictures of mine but this is what I used for sealant. Available at Lowe's or any building supply.

Every couple years I had to scrape the sealant and recaulk, but using Dicor self leveling sealant. I may try this DAP Dynoflex Ultra next time.
