Leaning drivers seat

My drivers seat cushion is more worn in on the right side. I assume the PO may have sat for extended time on the right edge while parked. I've caught myself doing the same thing while playing with the radio and silverleaf system.
While driving I now feel that I am leaning to that side. I also feel a little more rocking back and forth, as if the chair is loose but all bolts are tight.
Does anyone else have this issue and what would be the best way to fix this. I have thought about redoing the foam on the seat portion as I do have a extra long roll of the light ultra suede leather that was used on the coach. Thanks

Do you have a fat wallet, not fat with $$ but just a fat wallet? If so remove it from your pocket when you drive. It makes a huge difference in how you sit in the seat

You may be able to reuse the seat cushion ultra-leather after having new foam installed.

I have the same issue in my 96 Dutch star. It's not loose, but it leans. I'm considering simply shimming it at the floor for now.

My passenger seat isn't worn out but it definitely leaned towards the center off the coach. Last year I loosend up the four bolts that hold the seat to the base and installed 3 to 4 flat washers on the low side. This helped drastically.

For starters no problem with fat wallet, I am married so have no money.
I do see the 4 bolts that mount to the base. I could do that, but the rocking is coming from where the base mounts to the round pedestal that gives it the ability to turn around.
The passenger side is very solid with no movement at all. Would love to have that same feeling on the drivers side. They both are constructed in the same manner.

John,
Once I remove the seat from the mechanical base is there bolts that screw down to the round pedestal that bolts to the floor.
My thinking is maybe there are some bolts loose that I cannot see until I remove the seat.
Don't want to remove the seat to have no remedy.
Thanks

Switch out the passenger for the drivers seat. Maybe the DW will not notice

Tried that. The electric foot rest got in the way of the pedals and the when I woke up from my nap we were almost off the road

Yes that pedestal most likely is bolted down and maybe even the swivel itself is wear and becoming loose. Either do that or but a book under yer right cheek.

Brett,

Let me look and see exactly what I did. As I recall there were bolts by the slide rails. I loosened up those four bolts and shimmed up the low side. I didn't go down to the base. I was also trying to get this done before we left on a trip, so I did the quickest thing I could do to keep the wife happy. The only thing that would make her happier is if I found a seat with a foot rest

I will look at what I did and post a couple of pics.

Same problem here with a barrel chair. I'm going to just replace it (29 years old). A bolt broke in mine and I replaced it. BUT the original bolt was square up by the head. My replacement is not. Here's a look at the view down there.

Brett,

Here is what I did. You can see the stack of three washers. I was enough to get my seat level.

John,
Thanks for the info and photos. Yours does appear to be different than mine, but still the same concept will work.
Hopefully once I remove the seat I can somehow stop the rocking back and forth. From what I can tell it's rocking where the round pedestal meets the bottom of the control mechanism.
Will post later once I get it torn apart.
