We also have the OTR AC, on ours it cools the bedroom while underway. There is also an option to run the front heat pump off the inverter/batteries/alternator. If you have it you'll have a second inverter, 2 more batteries and a higher output alternator.

Check your coolant cap to see if same size as automotive.

If it is then an automotive cooling system tester which is a simple hand pump attached to a cap can be attached and system pumped up to running pressure then leaks will be easy to find as everything cool and still.

Some places loan tools so maybe an option.

Much crisper description of the OTR Heater hoses pumps I was referring too! And that matches the location of our pump pretty well too.

And OTR Heater and OTR AC's are separate systems, as I understand it. And as Mr. D pointed out, some OTR AC's have multiple zones, our Allure does not have the second one.

Good idea on attaching the external pressure leaking pump if it will fit, and you have clearance to do so.

While your debugging, I'd also validate that your low coolant sensor is working properly. Possible you were still OK on this, but that was a lot of coolant added!

Also, as I have been thinking as to what may have caused this - This just happened after the tire shop changed my tires. Since I had them dismount all eight tires, I'm wondering if it is something they did that trigger this?

Thanks, Mr_D! I have two inverters, but am not sure about the high output alternator. I'll have to check.

Is your Affinity all electric? That could also be the reason for two inverters, you also must have the 6 8D batteris?

The OTR AC is separate from any heating source. It only provides AC in the bedroom and dash. You can get heat from the dash, but not from the OTR in the bedroom. Both run off the same AC compressor.

You are right! I only have an AC/inv button and no heating. it runs off of the inverter not the engine. Thanks for the input!

I've pondered this for awhile, and I can't think of anything anyone could do when changing tires that could have affected the engine coolant. I'm leaning toward a bad hose somewhere. Please keep us in the loop on what you finally figure out. It may help someone in the future with a similar problem!

We had a situation where the Surge tank would empty enroute and the coolant sensor would shut the engine off. There was no visible trace of the coolant overflow at any time.

It was caused by the Tech who changed the coolant not burping the air out of the coolant system.

I burped the system per the instructions on the surge tank and all has been well for several years.

The AC on inverter is for the front roof AC, not the OTR AC. The front AC should also give you heat on the inverter if you set your thermostat to heat. To use the OTR AC, the engine needs to be running.

Might also want to check under your hot water heater if your coach circulates coolant to keep the domestic water hot while driving.
