Magna 2000 Door and Hinge

Anyone know where one might find a door and hinge for a 2000 Magna. New to me coach has a door with a broken hinge and the door is slightly warped. Wind noise is aggravating. Is there recycling yard for coaches?

you are in tn, check colaws rv salvage in mo first. if they don't have it, check visione rv salvage in ky. i know they have a few cc's in their lot. beware though, visione is always EXPENSIVE.

sample quote #1: a storage door from a 1998 intrigue: $1000 + shipping.

sample quote #2: shower enclosure complete from a 2007 magna: $6500 + shipping.

they really like their parts!

Kevin Waite can supply a door hinge. At least he did for me. My door also has wind noise that is annoying, especially during cross winds. Don't know if your door is warped or that is just the way the 2000 Magna is.

We bought a new replacement hinge direct from CC/Winnebago in JC. The old hinge was 1/4 broken. Our door appears to be straight but it definitely makes wind noise. Worse on windy days. I have messed with self-stick weather stripping and seal but not sure it really helps.

When I re-installed the door with the new hinge, I'm not sure I got it in right as it seems to bind when closing. Its kind of funky. You use self drilling screws to install and it's pretty hard to make certain you are lined up right.

Door Hinge

Can't believe, well maybe I should... I found this thread. I too have a broken/bent hinge on my door. I only took me opening the door in a high wind and whoosh, it opened too far and bent the hinge. Sounds like the best route is buying the hinge from CC and replacing it. My question is has anyone done it and have some insight on what to do for a successful change. I am currently in the Corpus Christi, TX area and will be here awhile. Might as well get it done!

Interesting, same here! The top few hinges on the hinge on our are broken thus letting in rain and wind noise. I have re taped the seals and nothing works. I think a new hinge would be a good thing. Great!

Some where in Florida (that's the last place I saw it) is a 2002 36' Intrigue that was totaled 3 yrs ago. If you can track it down it's gold mine of used parts. 80% of them are probably fine. Good Luck

What about the guts inside the door

Anyone know if there is / should be some type of stopper so the door doesn't swing past 90-degree when/if the wind catches it? Definitely no room on top of door to tap in a swing guard (like many Winne and Monacos have.) Suspecting my issue is something behind that door panel that broke -- preventing the door from stopping at the appropriate place.

My Magna has a PTL door with a thing called a Posa-lock or something at the top. It's a heavy metal hinged arm that locks the door in the open position. There is a cable attached to the door handle that unlocks it. unless that PosaLock arm broke it's impossible for the door to go further than 90 degrees. I've had the door ripped out of my hand in 60 mile an hour winds and it didn't break. Unfortunately the internal mechanism has broken (from untrained visitors forcing it), and it no longer unlocks with the door handle. PTL no longer makes the PosaLock, but they have a much simpler heavy duty replacement for about $100.

Did I read somewhere that someone had a machine shop manufacture some new hings and they had extra? I would be interested.

Has anyone found a source for a replacement hinge?
Or had one custom made?
Kevin ran out of the ones he had.
