Same here, nothing at all: No light, no noise, nothing. And even when I hold in the battery boost switch, nothing happens within a few seconds, but if I hold it in longer (10 seconds?), as suggested, to let the voltage equalize between the house and chassis batts, the gen starts just fine, as if started from the genset.

It seems to me as though the remote start system, whatever that is (Silverleaf?), is looking for a threshold battery voltage before allowing anything to happen, either by design or due to defect in the system.

Not sure why the remote gen start switch would not simply be wired in parallel to the one on the generator, but oh well, it is what it is.

Coming in late to this conversation....I've been traveling through Yellowstone and the Tetons and I'm currently having a similar issue with my gen. Clearly it's a voltage issue, because I can start my gen through VMS if I'm plugged into shore power or through battery boost but not through VMS or bedroom if there's no assist.
I sent an email to SilverLeaf this morning and will share their response.

Totally different than my problem. Plugged in makes no difference, engine running makes no difference, holding batter boost makes no difference, new chassis batteries makes no difference.

At the NW Regional FMCA rally in North Bend OR there was a Silverleaf tech. He checked the system out and told me the Intellitec controller wasn't passing the signal through to the generator.
Contacted Intellitec and, so far, haven't been much help.
The Silverleaf tech says it might just be easier to rewire around the Intellitec system.
Right now getting the DW's cancer treatment started takes precedence over anything else!
