Good afternoon all,
Just got back into CC ownership. 3rd times a charm. After reading everything on the exhaust, I would like to replace mine the with the Aero. Does anyone have the model #? I have 2000 Intrigue with Cummins 8.3

Timing is everything! Just posted on your other CC Owners thread - I commented that 'third time is the charm'....

Scrolling down I find this thread, and heck - you said the same thing!

I installed the 5050XL (Or something like that, which is basically their 5" model.

Not real up on your specific CC with the 8.3, but unless you have an interference problem from size, or a few elbows/pipes that choke down below say 4 1/2" - I'd see if a Aero Turbine 5050XL will fit in your coach!

Muffler replaced

Good morning,
Smitty, I took your advise and ordered an Aero, mine was the 4" model. That was the easiest change I have ever done on a coach. 1 90 elbow, 2 clamps and support bracket. She roars like a lion. THANKS MUCH

I also looked at the 5" Aero muffler Smitty has, but found it was to long to fit where the old muffler was for a DIY project.

I'll give my preliminary update. I took the coach out for a twenty minute ride before our trip this week to check all systems. EGT is lower, but I'll know better when I'm towing and doing a long pull over hwy 80 in the Sierras. Standing next to the exhaust, about 10% louder and a little deeper. Turbo whine is more pronounced, about twice as much, it's more noticeable than the exhaust. Engine break, 75% louder with windows open, a little louder with window closed. Pulling a seven degree grade up to my house (approx. half mile), 50% louder with windows open, a little louder with windows closed. Driving on flat ground, 15% louder with windows open, about the same with windows closed.

Also, Tubo spooled faster and I don't think I'll see more boost due to the waste gate. I'll post back after more hours on this project.
