We’ve been having a few connection issues on the right taillight. It was just a poor connection but it wouldn’t completely go away. So, I built a new light holder and put modern receptacles in it so we could use plug in bulbs instead of the old push and twist bulbs. Also, I used a 3 wire receptacle on the middle light so the bulb could continue to serve as a running light as well as a brake light. It doubled the brake lights. I may play with some LED’s to see which ones give off the most light. Now I’ve got to do the other side to match.

Mike,
We have the similar tail light configuration on our 2000. What did you buy and where did you get those? I’ve messed around with LED replacement bulbs but it looks like you found complete LED replacement assemblies.
