New to Country Coach

Just acquired a 2005 Inspire 330 that was well cared for and still looks great. I've been lurking on this site and the Yahoo forum for a couple of months and trying to educate myself as much as possible. The DW and I want to do some extended time in the coach for a couple of years prior to being chronologically disabled (age 65) as a pilot then hopefully at least a few years full time. I'm sure I'll have many questions in the near future. We are presently in east Texas on our "discovery & shakedown" cruise and are enjoying every minute of it. Thanks for the education!

Congrats! We have an almost identical unit. Love it. Going full time in September.

You have found a good spot. There are several good folks on here with a ton of expertise who are very helpful.

Congrads on you new coach. Last year I posted this and it is just like your coach, hope it helps.
Hope you got records with it and with a Cat C9 if the valves had not been adj. and close to 20k miles they need to be.

2 Stroker many thanks we've watched it twice so far in the discovery mode. CAT has no records of valves being done but may have been done by first owners at Evergreen in New Braufels Tx. We are trying to determine that. 2nd owners were Tom and Vicky Chesna who were on this forum and took wonderful care of the coach. I'm going thru maintenance records now. Radiator has been done, wet kit done on PTO. S-D fan controller replaced. And the Norcold caught fire AS WE WERE LOOKING AT IT! Caught it immediately and no collateral damage. Extended warranty and seller replaced it with new 2014 model last week. We are on a long weekend discovery tour now in east Texas and really are enjoying it.

Welcome to the CC gang, and congrats!!! Enjoy the shake down, and the fun of learning how everything works. That was a nice list of heavy hitters that were taken care of by Tom and Vicky - that will continue to pay you dividends ahead!

Best, travel safe, have fun,
Smitty

I am not in town to look at the coach now but thought I'd check with others here first. I intend to take the class B license test in Texas when I get home and it includes the air brake test. I checked ours just prior to leaving town and noticed that if you fan the pressure off using the service brake I do get warning lights prior to 60 lbs. of air air remaining but no buzzer. Do I have a defective audible alert or are these coaches not equipped with the buzzer. Thanks in advance for the help.

Welcome to the CC owners club.

My Allure certainly has a sufficiently-obnoxious buzzer and so did my previous DP. I suspect yours has one too. Perhaps the prior owner disconnected it??

I added buzzers to my air pressure alert lights. I could not find where they were originally installed. I also put them on the turn signals so I'm not rolling down the highway with a flasher on.

I've got turn signal buzzers. My immediate concern is that DPS will terminate my driving test if they think the buzzer is required. I'm not sure if I can convince them that my coach was not equipped with a buzzer when it left the factory. Has anyone taken a test without an operating buzzer?
