Nothing to do with CC
This is the only place I really hang out so delete if necessary.
Purchased a new 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid for toad and commuting. This is my third bird strike in 5,600 miles. I’m seriously thinking of getting rid of it. First was to passenger fog light then drivers mirror and this one today.

Maybe you could replace the Escape with a big Thunderbird?
Go on the Offensive and scare them nasty birds.

Too quiet to give the birds a warning to get the ..... out of the way .
Deer whistles might help .

Suspect the bird is getting tired of you too ! (Or, was it more then one bird?)
And, I like Dean's comment too!! (But, Thunderbird vino was just about as bad as Ripple!).
Mike... You need to get a Torpedo Go Cart! And drive below the elevation the birds fly...
So. Not to change the subject to me - well, actually...
Lost a Left Foglight going North on the Alcan. Lost a Right Foglight, heading South on Classier Hwy. But lost the full windshield, parked in a camp - when someone backed into a non stable WiFi Pole, and it crashed onto the windshield. All, within a three week period...
And think of the good things. You were not hurt. Well, not near as much as the birds. And, you get to share your saga with us... THAT, has to be some sort of return on investment, or windshield/mirror/fog light!
May I suggest, you never drive a convertible - they seem to have you on their radar...
====
Yep, bummer! But, again glad no one was hurt!
Best,
Smitty

Hey Mark I see you downsized. I’m thinking of going to a smaller 24’ sprinter.

Yes, after 14 yrs. of two large coaches ('08 Monaco Dynasty, '15 Liberty Coach), I was ready to downsize and decided on Pleasure Way after over a year reading everything that I could get my hands on.
I'm heading out on a 1,500 mile trip next week, looking really forward to it!
Of course, downsizing certainly requires some adjustment as I have a 'wet' bath but its no problem at all.
My maintenance requirements have been reduced 90%! (I think) No slide motors, seals or hydraulic issues because I don't have any! LOL! All I have to remember is to unplug, put the chairs away, pull in the awning and I'm rolling!
I will be able to go to places that the large coaches would not fit. I've been to all 48 States and now I can explore them differently..... it opens up a whole new way of traveling!
If you have any questions, let me know.
Safe travels,
Mark

Question
Were all these bird strikes with the sprinter?
We have struck birds in rural areas just driving...not towed mm..owls...Pheasant....and have not endured any damage...
Knock wood.. no strikes behind the the coach
Cant figure out how the aerodynamics work...
Buybacks lottery ticket, you have good luck coming your way

I'm a little unclear here. Is this happening when you drive the car or when you are towing it?
