Your coach may not be like my 2000 Magna but my hydraulic fluid reservoir is a round black tank in the engine compartment on the passenger side very near the rear of the compartment. There is a small round about 1 inch high knob on the lid with the dipstick for checking fluid level and adding fluid.

Hopefully someone with your model coach will pipe in to confirm the location for you.

I also use Dexron3 ATF. On mine there are 3 Nelson stacked filters inside the tank that needs to be changed.

Or any that cross reference. Wix, Baldwin or Nelson

I got mine from Cummins NW but you can cross to wix or napa and get the same filter. I have changed mine 2 times in 24k because of the volume of oil that runs through them form the fan and steering. When changing them there is one end of the filter that has to go up. I have another set to change out this spring.

Do you just drain the tank or is there a way to get all the fluid out of the lines? how much fluid does it take?

Thanks
Dennis

I have not changed the oil on mine, but the filters are stacked inside the tank. Remove the ring that holds the lid on then there is a wing nut inside with springs under it. Then remove the filters my need a wire to pull them out, check gaskets on filters so you don't leave any in the tank. If you want, use a small pump on a drill to remove the oil, thinking maybe 2 gallons. You will not be able to remove all the oil.

Fleetguard 84220A is the part number I got from Gregg at Country Coach prior to Winnebago. That's what I ordered from Ryder Fleet Products and paid $33.56 for the three.

I've also seen Baldwin PT9344 and Nelson 84101B recommended.

Also, the O-ring-like gasket on oil reservoir lid part number I used from Ryder Fleet Products was V52 99955A.

Be cautious of the oil you use. I've seen both motor oil and transmission fluid specified for this application.

I just drain the tank and replenish adding new filters.

My theory is that the fluid cycles and blends so a couple of changes probably reduces the very old oil to a tiny percentage.

5,000 miles per year and changing fluid every couple of years does not seem to result in a clogged system.

What's the best way to determine what fluid is already in the system?

What year coach do you have and what color is the oil, if red should be Dexron ATF or if it is clear my be an AW32 or 64 HYD oil. You could pull a sample and send it in.
Mine has a sticker on the tank and it said to use Dexron 2 ATF but it is no longer made so I went with 3 and to change the filters every 6k miles.
