Removing Splendide from 2002 Allure

This old w/d (Splendide 2000s) needs $400 in parts to fix and IMO is not worth it. However, I can't figure out how to get it out without removing a window. It is not practical to remove the front door and screen door and with those two on the effective opening is less than 20 inches.

Have you taken a Splendide out of this generation of CC (2002 Allure 36 #30752) and how did you do it?

Thanks!

Took mine out of 2000 Magna through the entry door. It is tight but it went out.

What parts does it need? Ours just blew the timer and I haven't taken the time to look one up.

One guy with a same-generation 36' Intrigue told me he took his unit apart piece by piece there on his bedroom floor (presumably over a nice protective tarp) and threw all of the pieces out the bedroom window!

We took ours out thru the bedroom window. Open the window all the way, remove the screen and have some muscle to move it out. You do not have to remove the window frame. Brought the 2300 in the same way.

It needs the main control board.

We took ours out the LR window

Not a tough job to remove the windows.

I took ours out of the cabinet and completely disassembled it in the bedroom. I took it out of the front door, piece by piece.

If you are doing this by yourself, this is about the only method that works due to the weight of the unit. There are concrete weights around the drum that are bolted in place that help lighten the load when removed. The ones on top are easy to get off, the ones on the bottom are going to take a bit of work during the process.

Take the top and back off and any other side that you have access to and just work it until you get it down to fighting size. You can take that thing apart just like you eat an elephant, one bite at a time.
