Replacement for Splendide 2000S

This coach has a Splendide 2000S. Bad motherboard. Expensive to fix and probably not worth it given the limitations of this old model.

Question is, is there any combo make/model that fits the tight spacing for this one that isn't so damned pricey? I've heard rumors there is an LG that fits but not sure which one.

Thought about stackable but then you have no access to the water shut offs for the washer. That seems risky to me.

Have you looked at Ariston combo units? https://www.kitchenlav.com/Ariston_laundry.htm

The $64 question is can one get it through the door of a 2002 Allure? It is a little deeper than the Splendide.

Anyone know what the clear opening of the door of this generation of CC is? It is there (Las Cruces, NM) and for the moment I am here (Ajijic Old Mexico).

I was able to bring in a 2000S thru the curb side rear window without removing anything. Tight but it will fit without scratching anything

Wow, that must have been quite an operation given the weight of these things.

Have a line on a near new 2100XC Splendide at a great price, now I need to see how I can swap the two. It is s hair under 23 inches deep, might fit through the front door.

In our previous Allure, we elected to replace the 2000S with that 2100XC when replacement components got up to just under $500.

It uses less water, seems to dry a bit better (Still a 'wrinkle-a-tor', according to the DW!), and also a bit more capacity.

My DW liked it so much more over the 2000S, it was one of the things we had done to our Magna before delivery. Swapped out the functioning 2000S, for the 2100XC... (And for the DW, storage space was more important then going to the separate stacked component W & D... She knew we'd get along fine with the 2100XC (With occasional bigger loads in campground W&D's.) - and insisted we retain the storage space!

Best to all,
Smitty

OOps, just did a check and we brought a 2100xc thru the bedroom window. I don't think it will go thru the front door. Shows you how much I do laundry

Our coaches have different doors but I removed my 2000 and brought in the new 2100XC through the front door of my 2002 Magna, no problem, except they are damn heavy.

Did you watch them do this? I'm having a hard time visualizing how this could be done without a fork lift or something along that line. These damn things weigh 150 pounds. I could see wrestling one through a front door one step at a time but lifting one off the ground to the elevation of a window, wow!

I'm not sure your average RV repair service could do this without damaging something.

And get a couple of hernias in the process.

OMC did the removal and install. I didn't watch but I would think a forklift was used to get it up to window height and then some younger guys muscled it the rest of the way. No damage to the coach but maybe the guys were talking in a higher octave after

LOL

What's the clear opening on your front door? The 2100XC is less than 23 inches deep according to the specs, actually a half inch less than the 2000S. I would have thought it could be put through the front door.

The Splendide 2100XC is a direct replacement for the 2000S. We replaced ours thru the front door on our Monaco Exec and it went right in (two guys) easily. Our door is more narrow than your Allure.
The 2100XC does a MUCH better job than the 2000S although it does have drawbacks when compared with a stacked system.
