RIP Bob Lee

I never had the privilege of meeting Bob, or his wife Terry. Meeting many of the people that worked with Bob over the years, and the ongoing respect they reflect while talking about him - tells you quite a bit about a man.

His family is in my prayers.

Best to all of you in the CC family - and THANK YOU BOB! Relax and be in peace now..
Smitty

A couple of stories come to mind.

We were at a CC rally in AZ and I was talking to Bob telling him we had just bought a '02 Intrigue. He said great and to call the office and they would arrange for us to spend a week or so on his lot in Outdoor Resorts in Newport,OR so we get the feel of it. Then he said "what the h#$% are you standing here for talking to me for? Go buy a new coach,I need the money!" I told him we just bought ours a couple of months ago, I don't need another one. He said yeh, I know, you already own one of the best." Then he gave me a big arm around the neck.

At a CC homecoming rally, Bob was on stage answering questions about this and that. Questions ranged from why no mid entry (going to think about that) to shorter coaches for us older drivers that want quality( good question, need to look into that). When the question about no ladders on the rear of the new coaches, he said that us old farts don't need to be on the roof anyway, get over it!

Nice man, he cared about his workforce and knew all of them by first name.

We have to also say RIP. I believe every one of the people that worked for him thought he was a great guy.

I met him a few times, both in Junction City and Perris, when I worked for National RV. RIP Bob Lee.
