ROKU Streaming Stick Plus

All, I thought I read about someone looking at Firestick to stream videos into the coach. I have reviewed devices and arrived on ROKU. The limitation is a RV Parks WiFi power. Does anyone have experience with these type devices in your coach?

These devices will have range issues with RV Park WiFi. Once connected, most RV Park WiFi Systems will do very poorly for streaming.

I have roku inside and a roku stick on the outside tv. I also have a hot spot which they play nice with. Most campgrounds won’t have the speed or band with you need to stream.

If you stream via RV Park Wifi, no one else will have access until you are done, most likely.

I use Roku in my home and my coach, works great.
I use my own unlimited cell phone data for the internet though.

Roku, Fire, Chrome's, AppleTV - all will work for you to stream... As mentioned, the devil is in the detail of a reliable source of Data to support the streaming!

You can go a bit overboard (As the person behind this keyboard typing did!), and create an arsenal for Data Streaming Communication...

Here is source of info - that you can dive as deep into this as you want!

https://www.technomadia.com

It's the combo of Data Plans and Devices working together, that matters. Internal antennas, or external antennas, single antennas or MIMO antennas....

With 5G coming ahead, I'd suggest an inexpensive approach to get a MiFi to do you're Data Source streaming. Something that in 2-3 years you don't mind donating away, and moving to 5G.

If you already have a ATT or Verizon phone plan, with a relatively modern phone, - look into adding a Hot Spot to it, that allows streaming... Probably the least expensive way to go...

Best to you,
Smitty

Thank you all. So, my IP6 will be as fast as a Jetpack. Get a streaming stick and connect them, enjoy streaming where the signal is strong and wait patiently for 5g. I can do that!
