Sauer-Danfoss fan controller

Does anyone know how to wire the new FDC part#11162962 this is the new part# that I'm told replaces the 1090384. New one has 8 wires old one has 5. This is the engine controlled system (no sensors).

I don't think you were given good advice on the part number. The part number is specific to the number of wires, the exact connectors and the programming. I think you should contact Berendsen Fluid Power for their advice and support.

New FCU

I've been trying to reprogram one of these new FCU's after I ordered the wrong one based on erroneous information from Country Coach. I contacted Danfoss and received the technical bulletin regarding the change. Your part number replacement is correct according to that bulletin. The additional 3 wire connection is the new programming interface (replaces an infrared interface) and should be capped. The other connectors should match your old ones.

Cheers,
Jeff

We continue monitor ours. It was behaving inconsistently for a while. I finally took the time to unplug and clean the harness connections, and applied some dialectic grease on the plugs. Has been doing better after that!

I'm pretty sure I'll go with the Source Engineering solution when I do replace this unit. I've had zero overheating problems with this radiator/engine combo. And after adding Final Charge, the running temps dropped about 5 degrees.

Best of luck on sorting out the right replacement part, and getting it installed and all running properly!
