Silverleaf Engine Diagnostics Page

2001 Intrigue with the 8.9 ISL. Started the coach and the yellow engine light illuminated. Selected diagnostics on the Silverleaf which gave me the following info in the following format: 18 59 1 Fuel Control VL/UNKNWN
I went to the Engine Diagnostics pages in the CC Chassis Manual but nothing corresponds. Does anybody have a source for the explanation of codes displayed on the Silverleaf? One last thing, I do not have the key for the Engine Diagnostics listed in the manual. Thanks in advance for any info.

I'd call Silverleaf and ask. Since it shows unknown it's not an expected trouble code. That said, Silverleaf codes can be parsed by Silverleaf and they may give you some insight. They've helped me out in the recent past. Cummins won't let Silverleaf show the Cummins codes so Silverleaf had to create their own based upon the Cummins codes. Of course, the Cummins diagnostic tool will give you more info and searchable Cummins codes.

Do you have a Cummins Quickserve Account. If so there is a fault code lookup, you have to get the format right but it does work I looked up a fault code on my 8.3 ISC.

https://quickserve.cummins.com/info/index.html
If it does find the code it will give you a link to a description of the fault code and much more info.

Yup, the Silverleaf code shown will not convert to anything in the Cummins system. A call to Silverleaf with the value shown will get you the correct Cummins code

Thank you! I will try to find a key and see if any codes are present as well as call Silverleaf to see if they can help with that code. Thanks for the background on the Silverleaf and not playing nicely with Cummins.

The blame is entirely in Cummins court. Silverleaf is a truly standup company. They'd love to provide the Cummins trouble codes but are bound to an NDA with Cummins.

It is not Silverleaf playing with Cummins, it is Cummins not playing with Silverleaf.
To tell the truth, I have never used the key to get fault codes and don't even know where to look for what you should see. There must be some blinky light but where and which one?

The yellow "check engine" light came on (I don't think it's labeled check engine exactly) so I pushed the DIAG button on the silverleaf, it's the far right top button of the eight buttons.
