Slide out Problem
2006 Affinity HWH X Galley slide needs adjusted. The top is going in farther than the bottom. I have located the adjusters on the hydraulic rams but they don't change the top of slide. The operators manual is not helpful on how to adjust vertical movement. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to adjust
the slide, Alexzander Valley passenger slide

The tops of the slides are usually positioned by cables when retracted. Pull the trim off the top and you can see what is in there. The cables may be stretched, or the anchors have pulled out.

slide out
No cables that I can see. The manual only shows two adjusters one on each side but they do not change the vertical position.

If there aren't cables or stops the position the top of the room then the problem could be that it is not level. It may need to be adjusted or shimmed at the floor tracks or whatever it is riding on. Is this a flush slide or are there flanges? Being HWH I assumed this was a flush slide with air seals.

This is a HWH X Hydraulic slide. No flanges. all adjustments are inside the coach. works like a Sizer lift

Slide adjustments are the hardest to accomplish and the easiest to mess up. I would highly recommend having someone that is VERY knowledgeable do the adjustments.

I am having the similar issue mine goes out at top 1st and the bottom is about 1 inch behind. My slide has 4 cylinders cant seem to find on how to adjust. I do know the adjustment on the end of the ram will put the side in tighter or can make even with the coach body.

after disassembling all the trim and all it takes to get to the chain and cylinders I found i broken roller on the chain behind the passenger seat. I do not if a new chain will solve the problem but will try to find a replacement chain and replace it

Need Help
I have a new issue with my bedroom slide out, rack and pinion, I was bringing it in the other day and the slide room lifted really high, then came down hard...ever since that happened when I bring it in it seems to bind up on the one side and once retracted all the way, the side that is binding up is too low on the outside...like 2 inches lower than it should be. I don't know if there were rollers or anything under there that is now missing? There are no broken or bend things I can find under the slide

No wire on this baby. It uses a hydraulic ram and chain
AZRV expert has a good video on this. On the chain there are black plastic rollers on each link. You can see them behind the passenger seat and removing the fabric accordion cover when the slide is closed. There is a similar mechanism at the other end of the slide. Much harder to get too. Depending where the roller location on the chain, has broken it may or may not be the cause of your issue. You will be able to assess it once you view it and move the slide in and out.
There is some adjustment but be careful as it seems the logic is reversed that what you think.
Fyi. Hwh sells the chain . The rollers cannot be replaced need a new chain. The new rollers are white plastic. The old ones are black and a little more brittle.
I had to replace the one behind passenger seat. James from azrvexpert helped me. Releasing the hydraulics cylinders was the hardest issue.
Good luck

slide out problems
I finally got the chain replaced on the galley slide out. I would not want to do this again . slide out works smooth again but did not fix my original problem. slide is still in to far at the top. maybe it needs a new top slide seal. any suggestions.

ive found the only solution is to reposition the flanges that are mounted on that corner of the room.
block that aside of the room up, at the bottom. disconnect the flanges completely from the room and adjust the room to fit your needs. refasten the flanges.
i know thats a really involved process, but it works.
