Spongy floor in front of vanity?
Here is a puzzler. Our 06 Intrigue 45' Jubilee (galley on DS), has a soft spot in the floor at the right front of the main vanity and about 8" to the rear of the shower (so about 6" back from the front edge of the drivers side rear slide. It flexes enough that it has cracked a floor tile (before we bought it). The floor is directly above the front edge of the drive axle, but even at ride height I can't see the floor without removing the wheels. Any one know what the floor below the tile is made of? Steel, wood, both?
Here are some other clues with problems in the same area. When we bought the coach, there was a diagonal crack in the exterior skin, running from the lower front corner of the drivers side rear slide to the molding six inches below. Last summer we had the crack repaired by a body shop that patched the fiberglass skin using several layers of fiberglass before repainting. The crack is gradually reappearing after little more than 2K miles. Seems like the weight of the slide is causing pressure somewhere it shouldn't be?
And finally, if unused for a while, the water coming out of the vanity faucet smells and has air bubbles until you run it for a while. None of the other sinks do this and there are no leaks either under the sink or on the ground below. Seemingly unrelated to the other problems, but the proximity to the other issues seems suspicious.
If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them. We understand that it is probably a major problem. Am considering a summer trip to Junction City to fix some of the issues. We are aware that there are at least 3 facilities there familiar with CCs. Premier RV, Oregon MC, or Kevin Waite & his brother's facility. Can anyone recommend one over the other?
As always, thanks for your comments!
