Step warning light

I retract my steps but the red warning light on the dash says they are out.
I looked at the schematic but didn't see where the switch is. What can I replace???

I'm sure many don't look at profiles and just skip over a query. I just put something out there and it seems someone picks up on it. So what is his rig?

It can be many things: switch, corrosion, loose wiring, etc.
If you clean up to step area and inspect it carefully, you may see the culprit.
I had a loose wire on the switch that told "Step Out" when it rained.
Best wishes
