Doubling back to my post #1, again. I have the double-relay CC design in my '09 Allure.

I previously confirmed that by simply pull the relay marked "Engine Brake Load Relay" the brake lights work exactly as desired. The engine brake doesn't turn on the coach lights or the toad brake lights so my Invisibrake in the toad doesn't activate the brakes due to the engine brake. I can tap the service brakes and all the brake lights turn on and my toad Invisibrake activates as expected.

Most recently, I reinstalled the relay and cut the "JUMP" jumper and repeated the brake light test. It works exactly as pulling the "Engine Brake Load Relay".

So, if desired, a dash switch can select between OEM brake light operation and my preferred brake light operation that avoids the risk of overheating my toad's brakes on long descents.

p.s. I haven't heard back from the Spartan folks as to how their doing with their modification.

I have not yet performed the mod, but will definitely update the post when I have done so. I must confess some nervousness about any potential impacts that may occur via the SCM's reaction to the mod. Nevertheless, I plan to pursue the mod unless some new information convinces me otherwise. Thanks Bon.

Update: Installed the relay today and wired it per Bon's print, happy to say it works as should.......... Brake light's now will only come from pressing the brake pedal, and no brake light's when using the engine brake!!!!!
My trailer brake's are safe now and can leave my controller set! instead of traveling with it off!

Bon out smarted the engineer's at Spartan
