When I was gainfully employed, I taught safety with an emphasis on driving safety. I taught this to our drivers. I was teaching this skill to a class one day and there happened to be a female in the group who had attended this class at a previous time. She gave a testimony to the class about a time she had a tire go down on her vehicle on I-10. She said that she remembered what I had told her to do and she said it really works. She was able to drive the car safely for over a mile until she found a safe area to stop.

We've been on the road, fulltime, for 8 years and have had 3 blowouts on the RV. Two in the front and one on the rear.
The first one was on I-40 between Barstow and Needles, CA. My wife was driving about 60 miles an hour when the right front tire blew. There was some pull to the right but nothing she couldn't handle easily.
She didn't know what happened except a loud noise. I told her to pull off the road. She hit the brakes with not much change in the steering force and pulled over.
It's either CC makes a great coach or the steering stabilizer I had installed. I don't know how it would have been without the stabilizer.
We called road service (we have AAA) and they sent a tow truck to fix the tire. The tow truck driver knew where to find a tire.

I have watched those videos More than once.. I have driven cars for many years. Have at one time or another blown a tire on any given position.. And the closest to loosing control I have come is when I hit a 4x4 that fell off a truck (that jarred me some but I kept it in the lane...barley)

That said, I would think I know what to do when a Tire Blows.

And... I learned something new watching that video.

Thus. I highly recommend it

NOTE: I have enough training (Scientific) to believe the truth of that video.. I have no desire to test the theory however.

I spoke with the son of the owners of that RV by the way.
