Trailer Lights

I have been having a heck of a time getting all my toad lights working. Took me a year to find the tow board, lol. Got all the fuses replaced…

I noticed the jumper was set for separate break/blinker and I thinks its actually combined?

I have not been able to get the break lights working. Yesterday I had both turns and running lights. Today only running and no RT.

I started looking at the pig tail and none of these colors match up??? Are they supposed to?

Thanks!

Dan

If you are having an intermittent issue with trailer/toad wiring, that is usually a ground issue or on rare occasions, a short.

Eliminate ground as a possible source of the issue before you redo any wiring. From that point, all you will need is a test light and the toad lighting harness wiring diagram to determine what does what.

Trailer Lights

Set the jumper on tow board to match your toad - separate means you have a separate signal light and a separate brake light such as a yellow turn signal and red brake light in rear. Combined is a brake and signal single light, of course.

I had trouble with my jumper pin vibrating loose/loosing contact.

No the wire colors do not need to match. My coach 7 pin wiring - 11T park lights, 53T right turn, 54T left turn, 45T back up light, 352T brake light. 2007 Allure.

Hope this helps.
Brian

most trailer systems are only three wire and ground. clearance/tail,left brake/turn and right brake/turn. I usually use a test light and find each circuit at the truck connection.
