I will post some in the morning. Too dark now.
Here's what I did...to mount my Visio 32-inch TV which weighs about 15 lbs. (very light)
1. I took the old TV out and reinstalled the frame.
2. Using a sharpie marker I reached into the opening and traced the opening outline.
3. Took off the frame and the sharpie marks showed the free opening. I did have 2 small blocks at the bottom of the open area and removed them.
4. I took a piece of 3/8-inch oak plywood (furniture quality) and cut it to fit within the area identified in #3.
5. I stained the plywood using a dark stain darker than the frame.
6. I drilled holes through the plywood into the frame without going through and mounted the plywood to the back of the frame that held in the old TV.
7. I dry fitted the frame with plywood attached. I had to trim some from the bottom and the bottom corners to obtain a flush/tight fit.
8. I reinstalled the frame using the 4 original screws.
9. I marked and drilled 3 more screw holes to securely attach the frame. 1 each in the middle of the top, left, and right sides.
10. I measured down 6 inches from my coach roof and marked the plywood. This was the top of the base plate of my mount.
11. I leveled and marked holes for the mount I purchased as shown in my previous post. The mount I purchased came with a magnetic bubble level. ENSURE YOUR COACH IS LEVEL BEFORE INSTALLING THE MOUNT! Don't ask me how I know. Lol.
12. I installed the mount using 1/4 x 1 1/4 bolts with lock nuts and large flat washers.
13. I drilled a 1 1/2 inch hole in the center of the mount for running cables.
14. I hung the tv using instructions supplied with the mount.
I had a small gap at the bottom of the plywood. I used a small square piece of wood that I stained a cut to length. I secured it using RTV sealant.
Pictures tomorrow will give you a better idea. When installed the TV is about 2 inches from the top of my coach.
Most importantly, my wife approved!
