Try turning the ignition on first

So is the switch just not lighting up and working or is the panel doing something when you turn the slide out room key.

I am.of course assuming you have an HWH slide out system similar to my later model Magna..

A better description and or a few pics would be helpful for me to understand the question you are asking....

Those switches burn /wear out. Our 2002 CC Affinity (which we sold a year ago) needed to have both slide switches replaced in the 12 years we owned it. If you have HWH slides then call HWH in Moscow Iowa for parts. Seems like I paid about $100 for the last one about three years ago. And have the motor running when you put out or retract the slides.

Essarr is your coach a single or double slide?
As others have said the switches can go bad
If dual slide one front one rear try powering up both switches and try to activate both switches
We had an issue where rear slide switch did not unlatch from controller and we could not move forward slides
Activated rear and they worked. Went back to front and they worked

Are you level? If severally out of level I don't believe they will work

Let us know what you find out

Greg
