Thank you very much! I heard that there are a couple of different width rims that fit the 365 tire. I just want to make sure I get one that clears the wheel well and whatever is behind it.

Information for others following this thread. The only wheel available for the 365 is made by Alcoa 10.5x22.5 model number 803601. It has a 5.5 inch offset compared to a 7 inch offset found on a accuride 9x22.5 #29730. It sounds like a direct fit with about 1 1/4 more to the outside. Alcoa did not see a problem with the lugs but I did check a couple of my trucks with Alcoa wheels and they are about an inch thick at the bolt holes. I will confirm when I get a look at a wheel.

I just put Michelin 365's with the Alcoa 10.5" wheels on my steer and tag on my '08 Affinity. The steers fit perfect with no clearance issues. The tags fit but if you reach your hand over the back side of the tire, the side wall is only about 1/2" from rubbing the air bag on the tag axle. Has anyone run into this? I know the '09s came from the factory with 365s on the tag so I'm wondering if they used a different tag on the '09 models?

I only changed my steer tires, not the tags. Sorry, can't help you with that!
OTH, since the tags are fixed, i.e., do not steer, it should be OK, but I will keep my eyes on it.

If I remember right the inside offset on the Alcoa rims is the same as the 9 inch. The wider rims you needed for the 365s pushed the offset the outside. You might look at your old rims and measure the rear offset to confirm.

I'm not sure of exact offset, but the 365s are a snug fit compared to the 315s. The tire will deflect under normal turning enough to rub the air bag which over time will end badly for the air bag or the tire side wall or both! I have pulled the hub off of the tag and have our local Kenworth dealership researching if Spicer offers a 1/2" wider hub to bring the wheel/tire out away from the frame. I've tried to call Country Coach to find out how they accomplished it on the '09 models, but they never return my calls. They must be real busy out at CC! If all else fails, my dad has brand new 315s on the front of his Kenworth so I may swipe those for my tag and bolt these brand new 365s on the his KW

CC is now owned by Winnebago and they are in the process of bringing MH production to Junction City. Very doubtful they will be doing much, if any, returning of phone calls to CC owners for a while.

That is what I would do since you do not need any additional load carrying capacity in the rear.

Am I correct to assume that your '09 came with the 365 size tire on the tag axle? That was supposedly one of the changes for all '09 Magna and Affinity models. If so, do you have Accuride or Alcoa wheels?
Have you ever checked the clearance between the inside of the tag tire and the air bag on the tag? (can be felt by reaching over the top of the tire)
And this one is a stretch, but do you know the serial number of your tag axle? It should be on a plate right below the driver side disc brake caliper mount. If I had the serial # from a '09 model I can confirm if CC used the same axle in the '08 & '09 models. The serial number will also tell me what hub ends were used on the '09. I'm trying to determine if CC achieved the needed offset through a bigger offset hub, a different length axle tube, or if they used an Accuride wheel that offers a different offset than the Alcoa I'm trying to use. I would attach a photo of the axle ID tag but I'm new at this forum deal and can't figure out how to attach.

The change was made at 6986, ours is 6999. No idea what the axle numbers are on ours and there's no way to check right now. Air is all the way down and there's no way to crawl under it to see.

Mr D., your experiences helped us in our decision to go with a Prevost Marathon instead of a newer Magna/Affinity!

Probably a better choice! Thinking we should have done the same or stayed with a Newmar!
Not that the Magna isn't a fantastic rig, but the problems with a major component really took more than we planned on and could afford. It's been a TERRIBLE year for us!
