Water pump location

On my 2000 Magna, the water pump turns on briefly about once a minute or so. I've looked for water leaks and haven't found any yet but I will keep looking. I guess it could be a faulty check valve on the water pump.

I'm searching for the water pump and from the sound it appears to be behind the plumbing bay on the driver's side. I see no way to get at this space. Does anyone know how to get to the water pump on this coach?

Mine is behind an access panel in the plumbing bay held by 4 screws.

Thanks for helping me find the water pump. I had the panel off once but didn't look deep enough into the space to see the pump.

After finding it I confirmed none of the fittings in that compartment are leaking so I'm still searching for leaks around the rest of the coach just to make sure. So far, everything is dry so it may be the pump check valve.

if the valve you turn to fill the fresh water tank when hooked to city water leaks internaly, you end up pumping water out of the tank and right back in again.

After being hooked up to city water for awhile, I discovered that the fresh water tank was overflowing. From previous posts, this points to a bad check valve in the pump. Flojet, ITT, confirms that a faulty check valve will cause my symptoms.

I replaced the pump and no longer have any of my problems. I also ordered a check valve repair kit and now have a spare water pump. Once you have the water pump in your hands, it is about a 10 minute job to replace the check valve assembly.

Thanks to all for your help.
