Our Intrigue is Cummins powered and obviously different. Our Chelsea PTO is not a pump or fan pump? as it is just a PTO. The PTO powers a Sauer Sundstrand hydraulic pump which sends hydraulic fluid to the radiator fan motor and through a separate hose to the power steering box up front.

On a cummins the Allison transmission has a power takeoff provided by chelsea. This pto drives a double pump. One section of the pump supplies hydraulic fluid to the fan motor that is speed controlled by a sour danfos hydraulic control valve. The other pump section provides hydraulic fluid to the power steering unit up front. Each pump section can be sized according to demand by the designer.
On most cat engines there is a location built into the engine for the power steering pump.On cat equipped country coaches they still use a pto to drive a pump for the fan but it is only a single pump .
