Whacky gauges

Been having issues with gages. Fuel, battery, etc go off and on, never at same time

Now, yesterday dash lights (ones that show warnings, step out, etc) began coming on and off, flashing in a circular motion. Ever seen anything like this??

Ps tried to upload a video, but couldn't.

Sounds like a loose ground wire in your gauge wiring.

Whacky gages

I looked behind dash cover and found a mass of wires....I mean 100+ bundled together. No idea where the grounds go to.

If in doubt about tracing a ground, once you have absolutely confirmed which wire is ground on the gauge package, just run a new ground wire to good, clean chassis metal or to a ground connection.

Not sure if you fixed the problem, but I had the same issue (lights flashing in circular motion).

I turned off the chassis battery switch for a couple of minutes and turned it back on... problem solved.

I also wanted to chime in...ground sounds like a spot to research.

I dont have gauge wonkiness like the OP, but what I do see on my gauges is a kind of silly dancing the needles do, kinda like gauges built in the 1930s. Specifically the fuel gauge which is a bit disconcerting as it can take a few miles of driving for it to stop the needle happy dance..I'm guessing though this is normal.

My 05 Magna I know the gauges are built by Bosch and behave very unGerman like.

At the OP.....I would firstly take a basic circuit tester light and test the fuse terminals to see if you have power across the fuses in the run box and inside next to pantries to determine if circuits that should be are getting connected.

I found a dead but intact looking fuse (coolant temp sensor 7.5A) that sidelined my Allison panel and therefore disallowed the coach to start the engine on the key.

After that its prolly time to break out the Multimeter on those same circuits if no probs found with the light.

When I post from my iPhone, my signature doesn’t show on my posts. So I have to manually add my coach on the bottom.
