Window Seal on Entry Door
Our 2001 Intrigue whistles like crazy from so.eplace at the entry door at anything over about 50mph. I read recently about quieting some whistle with a piece of 2x4 and a sledge hammer . . . (May try that next.)
But one suspicious looking detail was the rubber seal around the window glass in the door. It had apparently shrunken over the years, and was pulling out at the corners of the window. Was redoing some of the other windows with materials from David Root - turned out great! -- but he had nothing for it. A bit of browsing on the 'net got me to the Steele Rubber Products web site. They have an on-line form inviting you to send a photo of a rubber profile, and they respond with matching part numbers.
So I sent them a cross section picture, and sure enough got a quote for a nearly perfect match. Had not seen anything even close on the 'net, but this was really close. Just finished installing it, and man, does it look great! (FWIW, I see the last two pix display sideways . . .)
If you are looking for a specific shape seal, Steele Rubber Products may be a good resource.
