Wiper Bolt Issue

The passenger side windshield received a rock and after picking up my coach from having it replaced the owner showed me this had broken off.
It looks to me that it holds "pressure" on the arm of the wiper blade.
The nut I'm holding has part of the stud. It doesn't look like there is enough threads left even if I could get the broken threads out of the nut.
Has anyone had this issue or had to replace them?

Very unfortunate. You'll need to start calling around to find that mounting stud for that arm. There are a couple of popular junk yards in the Midwest that will most likely have it. If you can get a part number, you may find a supplier. I'd start scoping it out and remove it.

I believe that is all part of the passenger side wiper pivot .
With the corrosion visible on the nut , removing it to replace the glass wasn't going to happen .
The arm attached via this stud is the mechanism that keeps the blade vertical during it's swipe across the glass .
Hopefully the pivot fits other coach brands and is still available .

Wiper Parts

Yes, mine broke several years ago when repainting the arm.

I think the stud that broke is part of the black bracket in the picture that is fastened to the fiberglass. It looks like the one on my rig.

AM Equipment had the part available. Could be a Pantograph Adapter but I do not see one pictured. Call them.

Save the acorn nut.

No, rock took the window. They broke this when trying to remove the wiper so they could install the new glass.

If you do not have any luck with the replacement from Amazon, message me. I had to replace the wiper shaft itself on the passenger side of my '01 due to it being bent and was forced to buy an entire replacement motor assembly from Visone used RV parts. I am pretty sure I have that piece left over if you need it.

It all so looks pretty easy to repair. It is only a stud with a spacer on it and could be repaired ( I think ) if needed.

Send me a PM if you need the part I have. Good luck.

Think about this. A rock broke the nut and end of the stud off but it stayed on until you got to the glass shop. That is without question a fairy tale worthy of the Brothers Grimm. The glass technician broke it taking the wiper arms off to replace the glass. ( in his defense those do break rather easily but they should have fessed up ) Poor way to do business though.

Happened to me. I was able to drill and tap for a small bolt and washer. Works fine, Doesn't take much to keep the arm engaged with the splines. Joe

Roy, a rock is what hit the windshield. The tech trying to remove the wiper arm is what caused to rusty stud to break.
