Xantrex SCP / Inverter Charger
My Xanbus SCP for a Xantrex RS2000 doesn't work, and they are no longer available. This is a 2,000W inverter/charger. Does anyone know if you can replace it with a 3,000W model in coach?

Here's another place that claims to have it in stock.
https://www.wmjmarine.com/c43645.html
Their description appears to say it works with both the 2,000 and 3,000 watt models of that type.

That is a SCP model 809-921, and is not compatible with the Xantrex RS2000. I need a model 809-910. They do not make it anymore, and I've looked everywhere for a new or used one. No luck. So I'm likely faced with replacing the charger/inverter.

This may be a long shot but why not. Our magnum inverter went bad last winter in fla. There is a guy in Ormond Beach fl. who rebuilds inverters etc. I would give him a call and see if he can help. He was great with our inverter repair and very fair. I forgot his name and it wasn't in phone just number.

The inverter/charger appears to be working great....it's the System Control Panel that has died.
There is a used Xantrex in my area - but a 3,000W one. So I was trying to determine if there is an issue putting that size of one in my coach.

There might be a couple options to replace/repair your System Control Panel. A company Radwell International repairs that type of item. Not certain they do your exact control panel but it might be worth a shot. 800-884-5500.

There are several control panels for Xantrex inverter/charges listed on Ebay. Not certain the exact one you needs is listed, but there are panels that look like what is shown in the RS 2000 manual I found on line.
It might be a lot easier and less expensive to just replace your control panel than the complete inverter/charger.

You can, but the real issue is the batterie cables. A 2000 what can be run by 2/0 you need to replace with at least 3/0 and I would go 4/0. Not a big deal if the run is short. Expensive if you have to run 15 feet.

You will be fine to put in a 3000w unit. I replaced a 2000w with a 2800w in 2016. I know another member replaced his with a 3000w Magnum. You may feel a touch warm on the cable terminals when it's on FULL 3000w load but not enough to worry about.
You may install and test it to see how comfortable you are. In the worst case scenario, you can double up the cables with another set of 2/0 cables. The capacity of 2 x 2/0 in parallel is greater than a single 4/0's.

I have a spare SCP at home. I’m out of town but will check the model number when I get back if you like.
