Accessing Outdoor TV 2018 Precept 31UL

We bought our Precept new about nine months ago. We have never opened the storage to the outdoor tv. I tried to open it last week and I couldn’t get the door to open. I was able to unlock the lever but when I pulled it down, the door wouldn’t open. It seems as though the lever is loose. But perhaps it’s supposed to be that way. Neither hubs nor myself can remember if we checked it out during our walkthrough. Any suggestions? We will be taking it in for service soon.

Did you press the center round button when opening the lever? On some you need to do both.

Post a picture of what the latch looks like. On my 2015 precept 31ul I sometimes have to push in on the door after I pull the latch to get it to release.

Most likely if it hasn't been opened in a while it's just stuck to the rubber seals. Carefully pry at the corners and it will open

X2 on pushing center button and prying after sitting long enough for the seals to become one with the frame. My MH is a Jayco product with different badges.

Outside tv door

Had the same problem. Went to Hardware store and found a small coated curved bar. Worked around the edges of the door while pulling on the latch. Took a few minutes and it opened.

Agreed. It's just stuck to the seals.
