Eagle 12v disconnect problem

My neighbor at the rv park here has an Eagle 2001 261P and has lost his house power. We have checked the charger and it's putting out and bypassed the disconnect switch to no avail, soooo we think it's the relay or solenoid and we have NO idea where it may be.. HELP !!!!
Oh, and we can't get any help from Jayco till Monday.

Sometime the GFIC outlets trip due to surge or plugging in too many accessories. Locate the GFIC outlets and reset all to make sure that is not the problem. If he has 110 outlet power then it would almost automatically be a fuse or breaker tripped

Ok, he has 110,but no 12v to the house. The battery is up,but no power to anything. We did find a solenoid back in behind the slideout house battery and it seems to have a spade type fuse on it which is VERY difficult to access. So now, what does that solenoid do?

That could be an inline fuse and very well could be bad. I would however check all the fuses and breakers before I went to the battery source. If you have 13+volts on the batteries you can easily check the inline fuse with a tester to see if power is going through to the back side of the fuse

One problem is that we can't find where the main fuse panel is hidden. I will have to try to slide under the rig to see if I can acess the fuse.

It should be either in the kitchen area or bedroom. Most times it is under the fridge or furnace area. It will be on the floor area in either place

Okayyyy, here we go. We pulled the battery slide out, checked the battery charge and it was fully charged,so I slid underneath the MH and checked the continuity to the solenoid and there was power to in and out. I was able to finally pull the 5A fuse and it tested n/g. Replaced the fuse, bummer job with big fingers, threw the 12V disconnect and the fuse blew immediately. So the owner,a retired marine electrical inspector, suggested that we try bypassing the whole thing and use the tried and true smoke test method.. ooppss,he was just joking tho and we'll be trying to find where the short is tomorrow.
