Eagle 317 Solar Install

I just bought a 2018 Jayco Eagle 317 31 foot 5er.
Salesperson said the trailer is 'wired' for solar.
Does anyone know what that means. Better yet has anyone installed solar on a late model Jayco.

Wondering if I can get away with two 6V batteries or must I go with 4.

Thanks for any feedback

the batteries are the heart of the system dont skimp..the prewire is usually from the roof entry point to the battery area. check the wire size and measure the wire length to figure the max safe amperage carrying capability,
The solar needs to be enough to charge the battery bank faster than you use it.

Be aware that lead acid should only be drained to 50% then recharged so if you have 224AH you can only use 112AH to keep batteries happy. If you can afford lithium more expensive but the 50% rule does not apply. JMHO

Thanks, JDooley.

I've since decided to stick with generator for now. I'll see how well that does for my dry camping needs for a season.

Never dry camped before so I may not even like it.
