Finally got my dream coach...couple questions?

After a year of dealing with my first coach, my confidence was shot and the wife and I decided to get out from under the dark cloud of uncertainty and we negotiated a sweet deal on a 2014 Seneca 37FS. It is absolutely our dream coach, and so far we love everything about it. We will know more here soon, planning a trip from NC up 81 to Gettysburg and back. Should be a nice little shakedown. Question though, if there are any 2015 Seneca people here, what navigation/entertainment system is in your coach? The NX501 is great, but I am getting a bit worried about how long that unit will be supported by Clarion. Just testing the waters to see if Jayco has started putting a newer model in their coaches?

Thanks in advance.

The NX501 is still pretty current. I would think it would be a great unit for some time to come. I'm sure if you ever wanted to you could swap it out for an NX604 or something, but if your current 501 works to your liking... why not hang onto that bad boy, that was a great piece of equipment.

Going to a 604 would give you the intelligent google voice though

Thanks plasma...I am happy so far with the unit, we will see here soon after our shakedown cruise. I was having difficulty updating the maps and such, and after reading everything I could find on here I finally got it figured out. The worries I have nagging at me is the relative age of the unit vs the release dates on their newer equipment, the tendency for Clarion to discontinue support for outdated equipment, and the complete lack of tech support. I am just a little concerned that the writing is on the wall for this particular unit and with my experience with electrical issues and coaches I am obsessing on the safe side I think.

Thanks again!

Understood. We have an older pioneer that was really high dollar back in the day. I use the maps on it, but only rely on that for relative distance to target while using an ipad for exact, up to the second "where the heck am I turning" navigation.

My pioneer I can drop a pin, and it will tell me more or less..." 40 miles" "30 miles" which let's me know roughly when to start really narrowing it down.
