Greyhawk VS Precept

We are looking to go motorized for the first time and now trying to decide to go with the Greyhawk 29MV or step up to a Precept 31UL. Any advice on which one, there is around a $13K difference.

We have test driven both (on a windy day) and felt that the A didn't handle as well as the C but the difference wasn't very much. We like the layout of the A better than the C but again not by much.

Anyone have an insight to our quandary?

Did you look at the Jayco Alante? I would chose that over the greyhawk if that had been available.

We did but liked the 31ul layout better. Really liked the way the TV faces the couch and disappears with the push of a button. I really dislike having to look to the side to watch TV. My wife also thought the interior of the 31ul was a step up.

We thought the Newmar Bay Star sport was very nice but again liked the 31ul layout better.

Have you driven yours in a high wind yet. We did yesterday and I was wondering if an additional steering stabilizer is needed. It wasn't awful but a bit shaky. I am new at driving an RV so it might be a driver problem not an RV problem.

Precept

I have driven in moderate cross winds and decided to add a steering stabilizer. Just installed it two days ago. Made one slight adjustment and next week we head back to Quartzsite so I will know the results then. I did add Centramatics to all four and a Blue Ox trac bar to the rear. I had very few miles when I added the rear trac bar so I am not 100% sure it was necessary. The sway does not seem to be any problem. Jayco adds a second sway bar to the rear so that may be all that is necessary. Happy motoring.
