Inverter Stays On

I have a 2019 Jayco Alante. I’ve been plugged into shore power now for the last month, and have not needed to use my inverter.

This morning I noticed the red power light on my control panel was lite up, indicating my inverter was on. I’ve toggled the switch numerous times to turn the inverter off, yet it stays on. Never had this problem before. I’ve used the inverter several times in the last year, and it worked fine.

Any ideas why I cannot turn my inverter off?

I would refer you to the manual but in general the inverter/charger is always powered. The Inverter also act like a transfer switch. If external power is present then it is passive and the power goes through it. If external power is removed then the inverter activates producing 120vac. You should have the ability to manually turn off the invert function.

The charger also provides 12 volt power when plugged in.

So having a red LED many be very normal and indicate it's state, check the manual.

If in fact the inverter is active when plugged in there may be an issues as for some reason the shore power is not getting to the inverter. Consider a complete reset, check the manual.

Thanks, but the inverter light is always off in my Alante unless I toggle the switch to turn it on. I hadnt turned it on since we arrived south last month and been on shore power. This morning the bright red led is on, and cant turn it off.

I may have to email Jayco support and see what they have to say.

You may get better results emailing the manufacturer of the inverter.

Red light on the inverter control panel ?

Find the inverter and look for a phone line looking wire that came unplugged.

The owners manual for the Alante is useless. I’ve emailed Jayco asking them where the inverter is located. I suspect it’s under the bed, but before I start unscrewing everything and pulling it apart I’ll wait for them to get back to me.
