Jayco Furrion Stereo Issues

On our 2018 Jayco Eagle, 317RLOK, the Furrion DL 1220 stereo system has some background noise when playing a DVD or watching TV and the surround sound and sound bar are in use.

Has anyone else experience problems with the Furrion system?

But the question is, is it the Furrion (garbage unit anyway) or is it the speaker?

Sounds like a wire is loose? Bad amp In the furrion?

Do you have any device where you could bypass the furrion? Say like an Apple TV and then direct connect the audio from the tv to the sound bar using a fresh set of audio cables?

Thanks for the replies Plasma, I do not have an Apple TV, but am also concerned about the cabling from the Furrion to the whole system. There may be an amp issue and Furrion has elected to send me a new radio. Not sure that is the answer but am willing to let them investigate. Jayco has also made a case about the problems and since it is under warranty I want to see if between the two of them resolution can be found. I know of several other Furrion owners who either love or hate the product. In the mean time I will continue to look for ideas on my end also.

Latest update:
Furrion is sending me a new DL1220 Stereo and I will install as soon as I get it. Not sure this will solve the humming and/or the background noise, but at least it is something.

I installed the new DL1220 that has a build date of 032018. The background noises are gone and so is the hum. I will be using the system extensively in the near future and will give it a good check out. Furrion was eager to help and it seems the issues are resolved. I did have to upload the firmware update to stop the volume racing problem, but all seems good for now.

Well I spoke too soon, just returned home from 4.200 mile trip and the DL1220 background sounds have returned. I recorded the sounds and sent them to Furrion Tech support, they were able to replicate the issue and are working for a solution. I will update when I hear from Furrion.

Latest is that Furrion sent a new updated radio, model DL1230 radio, unfortunately I have not been able to fully test it yet, hope to soon but I need to be on shore power to fully run things up and test it with a DVD. The radio portion, AM/FM seems to work ok, but the real test is loading up a DVD and setting the sound bar and surround system on. I will update again as soon as I can.
