Hi all. I am a new TT owner. This is my first ever as we have been tenting it for years. Anyway, I purchased a 2017 Jayco Jayflight 26BH. There are NO stickers on the side of the trailer telling what is city water, what is black water flush, and the freshwater tank fill. Can someone enlighten me as to which one is which? I am assuming the furthest one to the front is city water, but the other 2 - one to the left of the shoreline plug and to the upper right of the shower. Also, does the city water fill up the fresh water tanks?

I have an older model of that trailer, but it does not have a black tank flush. Pictures would be very helpful. The "city" or "shore" water is a separate connection, and does not fill up the freshwater tank.

Thanks for your reply. This model has a black water tank flush. Thanks for the tip about the city water not filling the tanks. The owner's manual says it will if equipped or to use the freshwater fill port. I am just not sure where the freshwater fill port is. I am not sure how to upload an image of the side of my trailer. I think I have uploaded the pics, but I am not sure.

I'm pretty sure your fresh water tank fill is the one located under the 2nd window from the front on the driver's side. Can't really see enough detail otherwise to be of help. If your city water connection also fills your fresh water tank, there would have to be some type of valve in between the two, because you wouldn't necessarily want your tank to fill up every time you connected to city water. I haven't heard of that being a thing, but maybe someone with a newer trailer can chime in.

The one under the second window on the driver's side I think is the city water. Nothing is labeled at all. My neighbour who has a jayco says the one under the 2nd window is city water because that's what his is, but I would think that would be the fresh water tanks because that is close to the kitchen. I wish the manuals were more descriptive. I feel like an idiot, but I don't want to fill the black water and have a serious issue on my hands. LOL

By the way, you should consider checking and vacuuming out every hidden but accessible area of your new trailer, for safety sake.

Our 2021 264BH came packed with wood shavings and sharp metal bits from all the areas where they cut wood or drilled holes into metal. In particular check the area behind the fridge, near the water heater, and in the fuse panel. Also check the areas under the sinks, seats, and beds.

I wonder if they are rushing these things out the door in order to meet demand right now. Maybe your 24BH won't be as bad, since it's a higher tier than the 264BH.

I wish I thought to take a photo of the area behind the fridge. See the fuse panel photo, and imagine double or triple that. It scares me because there's a flame back there when running form propane. You'd think that they'd simply vacuum the leftover wood shavings and dust to prevent a fire from occurring.

Also check inside your A/C vents. I found one of ours was blocked by the foam that was supposed to be cut out.

Thanks Rewen for the details. I bought a used trailer - 2017. It was super clean when I got it. Turns out that the previous owner modified the freshwater fill tank to have the same receptacle as the city water. So they obviously hooked up a hose to it to fill it. Strange. But that is why I couldn't tell which was which. I did a thorough clean of the whole trailer when I bought it and was under the sink and in the fuse panel, no dust, cobwebs or any dirt. The people must have kept it super clean.

That's surprising that Jayco would let a brand new trailer out of their facility like that. That is a fire hazard for sure. Good thing you caught that. I believe you are right with them trying to push out as many as they can. I think once Covid dies down there is going to be an influx of camper trailers because people will be over camping and back to regular activities.
