JayCommand Generator and A/C remote start
We are looking at purchasing a 2023 Pinnacle 36KPTS. Can you start the generator from the phone app? For example, when I am going down the highway and about an hour away from my destination I would like to be able to start the generator while going down the highway without pulling over. I would also like to start the A/C's while driving so the interior is cooled down when we arrive. I realize the bluetooth connection may be too far when in the cab of the truck but what if we have the BMPRO connected to a hotspot in the trailer so it is reachable from anywhere?Does anyone know for sure if both these are possible?

I think you can, but you will have to disconnect one wire and cap it off from the Jaycommand node. This wires locks out motor functions while driving.
I disconnected this wire because it would lock out things when the 7 way plug is connected to the truck and cause much frustration.
The wire is #64 "brake high input" just press and hold the tab for that wire, pull out and cap.
The big problem is you'll have trouble knowing when the generator started and how long to hold the start button pressed. FYI...sometimes there is a delay when you press and sometimes you have to press the start button on the app more than one time. This has been my experience with an iPhone using it for all the motor functions.
I have done what you are wanting to do, but I would suggest pulling over at an exit and starting it up so you can listen to what is going on.

Thanks
I appreciate the information and detail. I would think the jacks would still work using the buttons on the control unit with the 7 pin connected to get it off the truck. I can see the frustration that would cause such as pulling into a rest stop and needing to bump a slide out 6 inches so you can get to something. I guess they put that on there for the same reason they put the sticker that says don't pick up a running lawnmower to trim the hedges. I wonder if that wire only locks functions out or if it also impacts the brake actuator's? Have you confirmed its only purpose is to inconvenience the owner .

it doesn't change the braking...and yes, it was a big pain before I disconnected it.
I don't have young kids...but if you did and let them play with your phone they could open up the awning while driving...so use caution

This is good information. The Jaycommand lockout function is quite a pain sometimes. I have to cycle power on the jacks and hit retract all to get anything to work while plugged in to the truck. Then if I opened one of the truck doors I would have to do it all over again.

I unhooked mine last night, will see how it works.
Mine wasn't one of the wires with a push/pull tab, it was just a wire with a spade connection on the top of the main control center, labeled 64. FYI.

I've had no downside with it disconnected...just don't let a kid play with the app since the Awnings and Slides can be moved going down the road.
