Locks

have a 2023 Jayco 36c we bought three months ago new. From day one we have had a number of small things go wrong. One that bugs me is the door locks. Everyone is very hard to lock and unlock. The keys are cheep junk. Any of you know way way to replace everything, key and locks. I can't be the only one that has this problem.

Are you referring to the entrance door or the storage locks? I owned a Jayco Kiwi 23B for 20 years and never had issues with the locks. There are kits you can buy to replace all the locks on your storage doors. On my current rig I did replace the door lock with a Bluetooth combo unit.

Storage locks. All are keyed the same. One doesn't unlock and all the others are difficult to open. I'd love to replace all of them. The entry door uses the same key. Some day I'm going to get locked out.

Have you tried lubricating those locks yet? I would use either a graphite based lock lubricant or simply WD-40 but that will wash out with time. If you still want new locks, go to this link; https://www.etrailer.com/.

There you can put your make model and year of your trailer and it will give you all of the parts that will fit your trailer. There are many RV parts supply websites but I like the search function on this one. Here you can pick out what you want and then search other sites for that part for price comparison.

Good Luck and Safe Travels!
