Steering stabilizer on 2016 Jayco Precept 31 UL
I recently purchased the 2016 Jayco Precept 31UL, and wanted to find out if it comes with a steering stabilizer from the factory? If not, has anyone added it to their Jayco Precept, and was there a significant difference?

We bought a 2020 31UL. No stabilizer. I’ll be having a Safe T Plus stabilizer installed in a couple weeks for the safety benefit and the driving improvement. I’ll check back in once we’ve had a chance to assess the improvement.

Hi. We just got our 2016 Jayco Greyhawk 31FS motorhome. My son-in-law has read on a different Jayco Redhawk/ Greyhawk Facebook page that the stabilizing bar and antisway bar make a huge difference in the driving of our motorhome so we’re looking at getting those installed ASAP. After we do I’ll try to repost here and let you know how much difference it actually made.

We’re about 2k miles into a 5k round trip. The stabilizer bar does help with control unless their are winds. When it’s windy, especially gusty, it still swerves. I’ll be researching anti-sway bars next.

We also just purchase a Jayco Precept 31ul and it handles like dog dew. I realize that the f53 chassis will never handle like the DP we sold but we had a Damon daybreak before that and it handled way better than the precept does but it had safety steer and sway bar. I know where to get Safety steer which I will install myself. I would love to hear where and from who on sway bars.

We had our stuff installed by Henderson’s Lineup, but this is their online shop.

Does your rear axle have sway bars in front and back? Mine does and I’m not sure if it was added or came stock. The PO added an extra leaf spring. It drives perfect without the Safe T steer.

The second, rear, anti sway bar is an aftermarket add on.
Do you know the game " Jenga ".
It looks like what your playing under your jacks.
The foundation should always be at least as big as the house.

Lol! This foundation really works. Drives perfect. Absolutely no sway. 2 fingers 70 mph down I-95 even in South Carolina!

Recently purchased 2019 Precept 34G getting Safe-T-Plus stabilizer next Monday. Did some research, decided on Roadmaster, but alignment place I use convinced me that I'd be happier with Safe-T-Plus, and that's what they normally install. I hope so! My wife driving it will be proof of the pudding.
