Thoughts on the 2016 Pinnacle 5th wheels

Setting aside your preference for one floor plan over another....I'd be appreciative of comments regarding your 2016 Pinnacle, e.g., features you like, construction/craftsmanship, etc..

Just the retractable power cord alone is almost worth going through the effort/hassle of trading our 34' 2013 Montana in one!!!

Thank you, in advance, for your reply. Jim R. St. George, UT

I had a 13 Pinnacle 5th wheel that I was sure glad it had a 2 year warranty and a good dealer who kept at the problems. The fit and finish was good but Jayco cheeped out on the vendor supplied items.
The Swintec slides, Atwood levelers, TV and sound system all gave us fits.
But Jayco did step up on the front cap and repainted it after it was out of warranty.
As with all trailers the tires were junk. Make sure they put good name brand high load tires on it before it leaves the dealer.
The Service Dept would be high on my list on making a decision.
Good Luck.
Edit to add: There is a Jayco Forum that is a good source of information.

We went today to look at a few inTexas. I actually like the fit / finish better than others
I have seen in this same class & price.

What I didnt like:
AC unit in front was not whisper quiet
schwintech slides (discussed with sales rep, he stated they only put them on small slides.)
Side by side fridge.
Bedroom cabinetry...or lackthereof. Worst point on the list.
10 inch frame.

What I liked about it:

Exterior Security lights both sides
wireless backup cam
roll up 50 amp
tool storage area
True completely enclosed and heated storage
Room for 6 batteries
on board fuel tank (not a toy hauler model) for generator.
Slide out covers
Moryde 4000 suspension.
Goodyear tires.

Interior:
Slides sealed solid against wall.
fit / finish (no sloppy cuts, moldings seemed firmly attached, cabinets were solid wood on all sides...)
Name brand appliances.
no carpet in living area ( had vinyl feaux wood)
Remote control for lights, slides, setup...
Prepped for solar.

Understand your feeling on the residential side by side...we ordered our 2016 RSQS in December. The refrigerator is the new two way Norcold Polarmax 18 cubic ft...I did not want to give up the propane option since we boondock quite often.

I have a 2015 Jayco Pinnacle.. Tires were junk, had two blowouts on first trip. Took out leveling jack and could not find one in 7 States! so 28 days no leveling. Invertor went out first day so refrig ddnt work while driving, had to get a bag of ice each travel day. sinks all leaked cheap plumbing parts, heater went out. a/c didn.t work as invertor out.Slide broke, carbon monoxide detector, broke, wood wrapped and peeling. Toilet blew air and water up when flushed. Led light on front broke, outside front peeling. Looking to trade this baby. GT
