Has anyone heard of a hydraulic steering damper for the Monaco? My brother had one installed on his Bounder and said it made a significant change in the steering play. It cost him about $500.

Correcting the play at the SOURCE is always a better plan than a "Band-Aid". I'm not knocking any of the add-on devices, but most folks are buying them to cure a mechanical issue that needs attention.
I agree with Van and DE but BlueOx makes one that I adjustable called BlueOx trucenter, it's been on the market for over 10 yrs and does a good job of masking the Shepard steering gear built in slack but the cost is a good bit over $500
