'06 Dynasty Headlight Switch - MFG or Part #?

Well, this morning I learned that my headlight switch has become finicky and surely needs to be replaced. It takes some gentle in and out tweaking to get them to come on, and it would probably only take a good bump to have them turn themselves off. Clearance and tail are good. It's just the big candles that aren't working. Rats!

My question - Has anyone replaced their headlight switch in a 2006 Dynasty? If so, might you have a part number or info on the make and model of vehicle from whence they came?

Other than that, I hope you are all weathering this covid monster safely and well, and that you continue on that course. Cheers and blessings to all!

I have not had the headlight switch out of our Dynasty but I have looked at it when inside there. On another Monaco I had to replace it and it was from a GM product of an earlier vintage, maybe 80s/90s. If you pull the switch out and take it to a parts store they can match it up in a Borg Warner or similar catalog. behind he dash on the bottom of the switch there should be a push button that when depressed will allow you to pull the know on the front of the dash out and a long shaft will come with it. Hope this may give you something to work with. Happy Trails Bert

Hi J7JV; Here are a couple of numbers. Not sure if this will apply to a newer coach like your Dynasty, but know it fits some older years like my 01 Windsor. These are, AC Delco-D1588 or Cole Hershee- 71092-02-BX. As Jobert mentioned these switches are out of mid to late 70's GM products on up. Hope this info helps. Again, not 100% sure if these will fit a newer Dynasty like yours.

Thank you, Jobert & 8.3. I had the switch out several years ago on another mission, so I know I can get it out. I was just hoping to find solid info on the replacement so it would be one less trip across town to the storage unit, and only one trip into the dash instead of two.

There are a lot of Ford parts on our chassis systems, but that doesn't mean anything. I have a couple of photos, but none that show the label on it. Dang! I do have a pic of the plug, and would be willing to take the chance if I found one that matched my photos.

If nothing solid comes up, I'll just go after it like you (8.3) have suggested.

Cheers to all, and thank you for helping me out.
